Juneau County Recreation

Located in central Wisconsin, Juneau County offers the outdoor enthusaist plenty of recreational choices. Bordered to the east by Castle Rock Lake and the Wisconsin River, Juneau County is also home to the Buckhorn State Park, Rocky Arbor State Park, The Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, and .

Juneau County is home to several public golf courses - Castle Rock, Oak Grove, Spring Valley, and Wyeville.

In addition to Castle Rock Lake and the Wisconsin River, fisherman, boaters, and canoeists can also enjoy Lake Petenwell, Lake Redstone, and the Lemon River.

Bicyclists enjoy many Juneau County trails, such as the Elroy-Sparta Trail and the Omaha Trial.

Recently Juneau County has begun to offer ATV riders a system of trails through the efforts of several clubs, such as the Castle Rock Family ATV Club.
